Sleep-study-ghost?
Apr 5th, 2008, 3:02am

A video is recording a sleep-study participant.
There is no information about what the study was about.

This is a slow motion version of what was spotted on the tape.
In real time ... 1 second

Is this a ghost?

Looks like a giant banana..or boomerang..

I'm kidding.  Grin

But seriously though, hmm... I think this could be something... Though it is hard to tell with it in frames like this. It's interesting..

Have another look MK ...
Still Pics is an interesting way to view these Smiley

The figure starts to appear:

Getting denser...

If I saw this one all by itself.... very eerie... Shocked and I'd wonder if the subject being watched was there because of nightmares. Huh

...

The last two Stills suggest to me Astral Projection:

What do I think?
I wouldn't be surprised if the figure we see floating in front of the camera lens is a piece of lint and it's just an illusion that the ghostly mist is actually hovering over the sleeper. I am suspicious because for the most part the shape stays the same and is floating rather than moving.
Even if it's not paranormal, it's fascinating to look at. Smiley

This is very interesting, myself personally, I think that it's lint, floating across the camera lens, I agree the shape of it does look like a spirit, but it's the way it is floating around, turning over and over, if it were a spirit, I don't think it would do that.
The interpretations you give for each frame are very good Evie, if I were just to see the stills, then yes I would think that it was a spirit and it was watching over the person who is asleep, but as I have watched the film, I say no, it's a piece of lint.
Well done for finding this Evie. Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley

yes i agree it's defiantly lint or dust, i spend a great deal of time with a fine knife sculpting dust and lint to resemble people, and then to complete the illusion i tend to make sure it's the only piece of lint or dust in the room. it can be hard but with very fine invisible fishing line i secure the dust particle in front of the camera.... really it's the oldest trick in the book, not sure why people still do it.
hay I've an idea how bout keeping an open mind. no sorry what was i thinking.

I love that!!
Its very interesting.. at some point it kinda looks like someone is looking down at the sleeper. Then the next I agree it reminds me of Astral  Projection.
Who knows tho...

I am torn.  In one way I can see this just being a piece of lint or dust particle, but that would be a really big dust particle.  I think it could also be some paranormal activity especially since it is during a sleep study.  For what I have heard, most mediums/psychics suffered from "night terrors" or sleeping disorders as children into adulthood.  This is very possible the sleep study was being conducted for such activity and found more then what they were looking for.

I'm so glad Owl and Falcon posted in this so it could be shared. That is def a very weird vid. Fascinating how there is no real definition of a shape (I mean, usually with these you can distinguish hair, fingers, body curves, all sorts of definite things) which makes me believe it isn't dust (its too perfect to be dust) or anything else. I agree with the Astral Travel, perhaps that is the reason why they were in the sleep clinic in the first place??

i admit this is a great find, i also think it is lint just from experience of filming and photo taking on paranormal investigations.  and if it were astral travel, would not something be emerging from the body, rather than free floating in the room.  and of course, then i should think that may have also been caught on tape also, but all in all, still interesting to watch and study the stills.

I'm a bit conflicted on this...my rational/logical mind says it's some form of debris floating across the lens. However, given the environment and circumstances it was captured, I'm open to the possibility of 'cosmic debris'. Either way, excellent find Evie!!

Wow, this is an very interesting video, I never saw something like that!  Shocked Somebody here before me said, that it could be "Astral projection". I think it's something like that, but I'm not sure what it really is. I wish to know it.  Wink

I had seen a still image of this study before you posted it, but now as I see it actually in motion I do agree that it could very well be a piece of dust or lint.  I'm kinda torn on that tho.  It was cool to see it in motion after only seeing it in a still pic.  Thanks Evie  Smiley

Very very interesting, i must admit the way it flips over as it floats across does look to me like a piece of lint blowing across in a breeze, would be interesting to find out what the conditions in the room were ie open window, air conditioning units etc but it would be nice to think it is actually spiritual evidence....,.either way a fantastic capture xx

Super Eerie, here's my question, it looks as though it's flipping or rotating, does that have any meaning? Or does that fall into the floating catagory? Undecided Wink
