November's Full Beaver Moon

I put up 2 shots because you can see different features in them.  The third is showing the large halo tonight..

Enjoy.

For both the colonists and the Algonquin tribes, this was the time to set beaver traps before the swamps froze, to ensure a supply of warm winter furs.

This full Moon was also called the Frost Moon.

thanks for the superb pics. My office is decorated with moons, somewhere around 300 of them. It is a constant fascination to me.
In my channelled book from Cro-Magnon times, about 30,000 years back, my narrator talks of worshipping the spirit of the moon. They revered it because it travelled across the night sky, seeing all that was there. And of course it turned its face away from them regularly. A most mysterious thing, in their minds.
