It's been years since I used a Ouija board, but from what I know the planchette moving in circles or figure 8's is a sign that something went screwy.
Lately, I've seen several Youtube videos when people began their session by moving the planchette around in circles as they're making their introductions and asking the first questions. I've never seen this done or heard of it being done until this year. Is this a common practice when using the board, or is this something new?

It's an old style coming back.

Interesting! I've never heard of that style before.
I haven't used a Ouija in maybe... 18 years? Had a scare put into me I don't need again.

"Passion. It lies in all of us. And though unwanted, unbidden, it will stir, open its jaws, and howl."
It's quite common from what I know. Personally, I feel its essentially "making" a portal to talk to whatever you want. Some people also chant "Ouija" when doing it, which for me strengthens the actual meaning behind it whether people know it or not as using it to make and stabilize a portal for the spirits or whatever they are trying to contact.
